Q - What is Star Trek: Unity about?
A - Star Trek Unity is a fan series set about 12 years after the founding of the Federation and will focus on the crew of the USS Unity and their exploration of an uncharted region of space. Our series will be done entirely in 3D animation using film-making technique known as machinima

Q – What characters will be featured in this series?
A – Star Trek: Unity will feature a brand new set of characters created by our team.  The principal characters of the series are:

- Captain Kenneth Anderson
- Captain John Lancaster
- First Officer Ann Welsh
- Science and Comm Officer Mahirn
- Chief Engineer Amara Cohen
- Chief Medical Officer Sobak of Vulcan
- Tactical Officer Yanima Gordon

Q - What is Machinima?
A - Machinima refers to the creation of CGI animation in real-time through the use of 3D video game engine technologies.

Q - Which game engine do you use?
A - We will be using the Half-Life 2 (HL2) game engine to render our animations and Hammer, the HL2 game editor, to create the locales and environments where the series will take place.

Q – How do I join the Unity project team?
A – If you are interested in joining our team, simply visit the Available Jobs/Positions section of our board and check out what positions we have available and post a message for the position you are interested in.  If there is no position listed that you’d like to do, simply post a message telling us how you’d like to help out.  One of our team members will then get in touch with you to learn more.
